Think of a Home Intrusion Detection System (IDS) like a nice warm blanket wrapped round the whole family home. If you have a large family with a high number of devices all connected to the same home WiFi, an IDS helps protect them all at once. These provide a number of capabilities including the usual firewall capabilities, continuously scanning for security vulnerabilities, looking for poorly encrypted connections and weak passwords.
1. Install an IDS on your home WiFi.
a. Buy and install the Bitdefender BOX (£149).
If for whatever reason you don’t like Bitdefender’s BOX, I’d also recommend the CUJO (£185) product but it is more expensive.
